HOW TO ENTER AND WIN:
To enter the drawing, go to v.org/supersixteen. Must be 18 to enter and a resident of the US. The online raffle will close March 14, 2023 at 11:59pm ET. Entries by mail must be received by end of business March 13, 2023 . The Grand Prize drawing for Dickie V’s Super Sixteen Basketball Bash Raffle will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, drawn at random at approximately 12:00 p.m. ET at the V Foundation for Cancer Research office in Cary, NC. The winner does not need to be present to win. All entries become the sole property of the V Foundation for Cancer Research and will not be returned. Winner will be contacted first by phone and then by email. Winner must claim prize within 24 hours of being contacted or a new winner will be selected. The V Foundation for Cancer Research is not responsible for lost, stolen, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, late, damaged, destroyed, or delayed entries or postage due mail or for unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, online failures, hardware, software, full voicemail boxes, or other technical malfunctions or disturbances or other communications failures or circumstances affecting receipt of entries or entrants’ ability to participate in this drawing. To enter without a donation, send a letter stating that you wish to obtain a “no donation” entry with your name, address, phone number, and email to: Super Sixteen c/o V Foundation for Cancer Research, 14600 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513. Only one “no donation” entry per household. “No donation” entry requests must be received at the V Foundation office by end of business on March 13, 2023. Complete information is required. An entry without complete information will not be added to the drawing. A winner’s list may be obtained by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to the V Foundation for Cancer Research, 14600 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513. Winner will be required to sign non-disclosure agreement regarding host’s address/specific location upon claiming prize.
PRIZE/ODDS OF WINNING:
Grand Prize: One Grand Prize winner will be chosen at random from the entrants. There will be no physical tickets.
The Grand Prize winner will win:
- a trip with a guest to watch a NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament game with Dick Vitale on Friday, March 24, 2023, MSRP $2,500. Including:
- 2 nights’ hotel stay near the Sarasota airport in standard accommodations, checking-in March 23, 2023 and checking out March 25, 2023, to be booked by the V Foundation.
- Economy airfare travel for winner and their guest, to be booked by the V Foundation. If winner lives in driving distance of Mr. Vitale’s home, they will be provided with funds to help with transportation.
- $200 VISA Gift card for incidental food and transportation to and from Mr. Vitale’s home
THERE SHALL BE NO SUBSTITUTIONS; NO CASH REFUNDS, AND NO OTHER CASH SUBSTITUTIONS. The Grand Prize winner assumes and must pay all charges not included above. The Dick Vitale Gala and the V Foundation for Cancer Research assume no responsibility for a prize winner’s tax obligations and suggest you consult your tax advisor. Winners need not be present to win. Winners are solely responsible for all other costs and liability incurred in claiming and using the prize. All unspecified expenses and taxes are winners’ sole responsibility. IRS Form W-2g or 1099 will be issued to winners for the value of the prize. The IRS requires withholding estimated taxes on the winnings prior to release of the prize. No prize substitution or cash equivalent of prize. No prize transfer. An estimated 2000 entries are expected. Odds of winning are determined by the total number of entries received, with the estimated odds of 1:2000.
